Our strand bamboo is 100% harder and more dent-resistant than red oak. It is a high-density flooring made by fusing bamboo fibers under extreme pressure and rates 2800 psi on the Janka ball test. Strand bamboo is the best defense against high heels in flooring.

Engineered Bamboo vs Solid bamboo

Engineered Bamboo flooring is structurally more stable than solid bamboo. Due to it 3 level construction, bamboo becomes stronger in all directions, not only on the vertical thus preventing side warping. This floor has a thick 4mm layer which is thick if not thicker than most bamboo upper tongue, allowing it to be sanded several times depending on its usage. The click system is also stronger than convensional solid bamboo lock systems. With built in expansions in the substrate of the bamboo engineered floor, changes in expansion has less effect over the lifetime of the floor.
